About Us

Sydney Tamil Manram, also known as STM, is a non-profit organization based in Sydney, Australia. The Sydney Tamil community is proud to be an integral part of larger Australian community while cherishing its origin and heritage to Tamilnadu, in South India, Tamil Eelam in Srilanka and also diaspora Tamils living in Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Seychelles, Mauritius, Fiji, Guyana, North America, Europe etc.


Envisions STM to be a vibrant centre to promote Tamil cultural & traditional virtues among the younger generation of Tamil community and among other ethnic groups.

STM to help Tamil people who seek help like New Immigrants, Refugees, Senior Citizens, Students, Domestic violence victims etc.

STM to work specific projects with the Council, Govt Agencies, Multicultural department, Refugee council, Humanitarian, Aboriginal Welfare associations, Immigration Agencies, Family violence protection agencies, Students councils from Universities, Health Professionals and many more. 
STM to work with various media, including Radio Broadcasts, TV channel, Live Social Media Telecasts, Newsletters, Books Publications and Magazines.
STM to continue to promote Tamil Language and Culture through Literature, Performing folk Arts, Cultural Festivals, Music & Theatre, Classical Dance & Classical Music.
STM to organise supportive and charitable endeavours for the social and economic wellbeing of the members of our community.
STM to regularly find opportunities to connect with younger generation kids to uncover their potential in any type of indigenous talents they have, by organizing talent shows, competitions, awards & recognition programs, public debates etc.
STM to engage partnerships with other organizations by signing MoU to collaborate with them in promoting Arts & Culture, organizing hands-on workshops, Seminars, Webinars, Training Programs, Therapy sessions, Healing programs for Senior citizens and people with disabilities, Mental Health programs and Women’s welfare.
Library of works is a regular ongoing activity of STM in terms of inheriting our Heritage & History and passing it on to the next generation in the form of storytelling, publishing books and via art forms.
